Samantha Leeson, a partner and co-founder of babyREADY (www.babyready.ca), will speak about child-led weaning.

The discussion will include the definition of child-led weaning and the physiologic and psychological benefits to both mom, baby and family when child-led weaning occurs. Samantha will also discuss how mothers can meet their own needs, and what about going back to work.

Samantha has been working as a doula and childbirth educator since 1998. She is also an accredited La Leche leader and the mother of two boys.

Cost: $5 in advance, $7 at the door.

Meetup fees are used to help support the administrative costs of using meetup.com, to provide honourariums to our guest speakers, and to cover costs associated with use of the space (water, toilet paper, etc.) Thank you for your support and for helping build a conscious parenting community!
