Any SAHMs with toddlers in the east end/Beaches area?

Hey, there!

I am just wondering what gives with the scarcity of stay-at-home moms and attachment parents in all my east-end/beaches meetups and playgroups. It seems unbelievable to me that there are so few people in this great big city who meet those descriptions! I am also really surprised at how few and far between spiritually earth-based families seem to be in the GTA. As for crunchy-style mamas with hippy leanings, I seem to be the only one I know in these parts!

I feel a sense of urgency about meeting some like-minded others who live at least somewhat near us, before the cold weather sets in. I tend to suffer from SAD terribly, and hardly leave the house once the snow is on the ground! In order to keep myself on an even keel, I really need to make some good hang-out buddies soon...

Maybe I am just looking in the wrong places. If anyone out there can clue me in on some other forums besides Meetup.com and Yahoogroups, where I can search out the folks I am seeking, I'd be most grateful.
