About FreeThinking Parents

This is a group for parents who are doing some things at least a little bit differently than the norm, for either secular or pagan reasons. We're looking to talk to, hang out with, and introduce our kids to families who might be just a little more like ours than most. ;) Playdates for the kids are at the forefront right now, but we're also interested in parenting discussions, sharing resources, lending support, making friends and building a community.

If you're doing in a variation of *any* of the following: attachment parenting, homeschooling/unscho oling/deschooling (or thinking about it!) vax-free, gentle-disciplining, organic living, cloth-diapering, EC'ing, cosleeping, babywearing, living tv-free, compacting or homesteading, please join! (And if you're doing something else that makes this seem like a good group for you, let us know - the point is to be open to alternatives!)

Meetups are mainly in Queens and Long Island at this point, but membership is open to anyone who can get here. And parents of kids of all ages are more than welcome - we'd love to expand the age range! :)
